I am a complete idiot when it comes to driving directions. I would like to purchase a GPS system, but exactly how are they installed in your car. If anyone has any information please let me know.

It really depends on what kind of GPS system that you get. Some of them are a very simple install where other are going to be a lot more work. All I can say is do not try to do it yourself unless you are an electrician or something.
